Letter: Take advantage of forum

The Columbian
Published: October 25, 2014, 12:00am

The voters of Clark County have been blessed with a number of candidate forums where they have watched would-be officeholders answer questions, usually prepared, and sometimes from the voters themselves. My thanks to the organizations that sponsored these. CVTV and The Columbian also make video of the candidates available.

There is one more “late season” forum coming up. On Oct. 30 the Faith Action Network will sponsor a forum for the candidates from the 17th Legislative District Positions 1 and 2. It will be held at the Cascade Park Library from 6:30 to 8 p.m., with plenty of time to interface with the candidates. Unlike most other forums, this is limited to the four people running, and to questions related to our representation in Olympia.

Take advantage of this late opportunity to meet the candidates personally and participate in voter education. Voters and voters-in-training are encouraged to attend.
