PORTLAND, — The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the greater Portland metro area.
The warning, which is in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, says wind gusts could reach as high as 60 mph through the afternoon and evening.
Locations include Portland, Hillsboro, Oregon City, Salem, and McMillville, as well as Battle Ground, Camas and Washougal in Washington state.
The high winds could topple trees and cause power outages across the metro area.
The strongest winds will most likely occur between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
