SEATTLE — Two weeks after a Seattle woman’s cellphone photo led to a charge against a man accused of groping her, police say a group of women helped chase down a man accused of groping multiple women in downtown Seattle.

On their website, police say they received a flurry of calls Wednesday afternoon about the man’s behavior. Several victims and witnesses followed him, updating dispatchers on his location as he walked south toward the city’s Pioneer Square district. Police say they were told that even with women in pursuit, the man continued grabbing women as he walked down Second Avenue.

Police say the man flopped down on the ground when they reached him. Officers called for medics, who said the man’s only medical issue seemed to be extreme intoxication.

He was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of indecent liberties. At least three victims identified him.

Still in jail is Daryl Sharma, who was charged with assault with sexual motivation in the Oct. 12 incident. Julia Marquand photographed the man who groped her, then publicized the shot on social media because she felt an officer didn’t take her complaint seriously.
