Northeast Hazel Dell association will honor community partners

Northeast Hazel Dell — The Northeast Hazel Dell Neighborhood Association will honor some of its community partners during their meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 16. at Burgerville, 9909 N.E. Highway 99. The association’s Community Partner Awards are given to those that help support the neighborhood through projects and activities. Awards this year will go to:

• Burgerville, 9909 N.E. Highway 99, for its support of the neighborhood, including helping out at events, providing refreshments for meetings and raising money for local charities.

• Clark Public Utilities, for donating 75 incense cedar trees for landscaping by the 78th Street overpass.

• Waste Connections, for donating bicycles for the neighborhood’s annual Holiday Youth Event. Last year it donated 42 bikes.

• Yard ‘n Garden Land, for helping with the 78th Street Exit Overpass Planting Project, donating Christmas trees for a holiday youth event and more.
