Ridgefield police said Friday they have arrested two suspects, who were armed with a stolen handgun, in connection with more than a dozen reported auto prowls.

The suspects were identified as George Thomas Stern, 18, and Drake Krotalus Price, 18, both of Ridgefield.

According to a police news release, at least 13 victims of auto prowls have been identified. They occurred this week in the Heron Ridge, Bellwood Heights, Pioneer Canyon and Cedar Ridge neighborhoods.

Among the items reported stolen was a loaded .45 caliber pistol, which has been recovered along with other stolen property. According to police, the thieves were armed with the handgun as they committed several of the crimes.

The arrests followed the service of a search warrant on a vehicle allegedly used during the prowls.

Stern was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of theft of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, and second-degree auto prowl.

He has been released on bail.

Drake was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen firearm and second-degree auto prowl. Jail records indicate he has also been released.
