Vancouver and the Neighborhood Traffic Safety Alliance are offering four different slogans on brightly colored yard signs for residents to place in front or side yards. The different slogans are: “Check your speed,” “It’s your neighborhood, drive 25,” “Slow down, watch for children,” and “What’s your hurry?”

Each city-recognized neighborhood association can have up to eight signs. Neighborhood association representatives may pick up their signs between 6:30 and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16, prior to the NTSA meeting at City Hall, 415 W. Sixth St.

Vancouver residents unaffiliated with neighborhood organizations may also request one to two signs, but supplies are limited.

To request a yard sign, go to www.cityofvancouver.us/TrafficCalmingProgram and click on the Neighborhood Traffic Calming Yard Signs Request Form to fill out and submit a request.
