NEW YORK — Pastels are popping on runways at New York Fashion Week. Why should nail art be any different? Nail down this look now for spring/summer 2015.

For the Rolando Santana show, the nail polish brand Zoya created a tri-color look called “the side part” using light green, baby blue and lavender. Creative director Rebecca Isa modeled it and the colors after the designer’s inspiration for his collection, the artist Mark Rothko. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Pick your polishes (Zoya uses Neely, Marley and Blu).
  2. Polish the entire nail baby blue.
  3. Go back over the outer third of the nail with the light green shade.
  4. Connect the colors with a thin stripe of lavender.
  5. Apply the look to all nails or just one or two fingers as accent nails.
