A motorcyclist was injured on Northeast 117th Avenue at 87th Street Saturday afternoon when he was struck by a motorist changing lanes.

The Washington State Patrol said Glen C. Johnson, 54, of Camas was riding his Harley-Davidson southbound when a Honda Pilot driven by Kelly Brown, 35, of Vancouver, struck him. Brown was cited for an improper lane change, according to the WSP.

The accident was reported at 2:23 p.m. and caused traffic to back up on 117th. Johnson, who was reported to be conscious and alert after the accident, was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for evaluation of injuries.
