The swimming pool at the Firstenburg Community Center reopened at 1 p.m. Monday, according to parks and recreation staff.

The pool had to be closed Sunday after a child contaminated it. The contamination was brought to the attention of staff, who immediately closed the pool.

The water has since been treated and tested according to industry guidelines, according to the city.

The center, at 700 N.E. 136th Ave., offers a large indoor recreational pool with water slides and other play features.
