My family has owned property for over 50 years with railroad tracks on it and I would like to speak for us. We love the train whistles. In fact, we have called to complain when they don’t whistle. When you have to cross the tracks it is a big help to hear that whistle and it does save lives.
If an oil train explodes in front of our property on the river my mother could be trapped between a big ball of fire and the river without even emergency vehicles being able to get to her. Does this sound like a position you want your family in?
