Letter: Record of Lasher merits re-election

Reading his Sept. 13 letter “Colas inspires resident to vote,” I’d like to know how Kurt Muller believes sitting out 20 years of elections is being supportive of his community. In my opinion, researching candidates and participating in the election process is more than a privilege, it’s a responsibility. I hope he can be motivated do some research on the servitude of 30-year incumbent Clark County Treasurer Doug Lasher. Candidate Lauren Colas may be Muller’s personal friend, but Lasher has a proven record of accuracy and accountability. It’s a shame when people choose to sit out an election that has the most impact on our community.
