Jack and Jill House, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in business, plans a reunion of its former customers this Sunday.

The event will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the day care center, 1202 N.E. Minnehaha St. in Hazel Dell.

Eve and Edgar Mitchell opened the center in 1964, said their daughter, Rosalee Johnson, who owns and runs the center today. Johnson said she believes Jack and Jill House is the second-oldest day care center in the county. Decades later, many of the staff continue to work there.
