Letter: Greed blinds our elected officials

Seven hundred dollars a month for a car allowance is not enough? Some people would consider that amount of money a windfall. Yet Clark County Commissioner Tom Mielke wants more.

Keith Johnson’s Sept. 13 letter, “Error in judgment arises,” has me questioning also why I voted as a Republican for Mielke. But there wasn’t much choice so Mielke was the better of the group. If I had voted for someone else, we wouldn’t have had to put up with the M&M boys. The same goes for Sen. Don Benton, R-Vancouver. What a disappointment. Just more greed. It should be an honor to serve the public, not vote for get-rich schemes, going to the trough for more. They should be ashamed.
