Letter: Analysis debunked

The Columbian

Until recently, I was on the fence with regard to the oil terminal at the Port of Vancouver. Then I read that Vancouver Energy hired its own consultant, Seattle-based Heartland LLC, in an attempt to invalidate the riverfront development that is planned for Vancouver. Looks like they took a chapter out of the Koch brothers book on buying elections — if the existing facts don’t support our goals we’ll just go out and buy some new facts. This gambit by itself makes me realize how untrustworthy are these oil companies.
