Non-league football: Rainier (Ore.) 22, Stevenson 20

Colton Van Pelt rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another as Stevenson’s comeback fell short at Rainier, Ore.

The Bulldogs trailed 22-6 at halftime. But Van Pelt had 65 yard TD run in the third quarter and a 20-yard TD run in the fourth quarter. But Stevenson’s two-point conversion attempt was unsuccessful.

Van Pelt finished with 137 yards passing and 91 yards rushing.

Lucas Wahto had six tackles and two assists, and David Cross had five tackles, four assists and a forced fumbled for the Bulldogs (1-3).
