The Vancouver Police Department is seeking the public’s help identifying a man who allegedly stole a wallet and personal items from a vendor working at grocery store.

The incident occurred about 9 a.m. Saturday at Winco, 2101 N.E. Andresen Road, when a vendor put his coat down while stocking shelves at the store. When he returned a short time later, he discovered that his wallet and other personal items were missing, police said.

Winco employees and VPD officers reviewed video surveillance footage and believe they found the person responsible. Police said the man had a dark complexion, dark hair, a light colored zip-up sweatshirt, and dark jeans. He had a small child with him.

The VPD also released a photo of the suspect and asked anyone with information about his identity, or anyone who may have seen the man in the store, to contact the VPD at 360-487-7399.
