SALEM, Ore. — A 29-year-old man who robbed an armored truck courier at a Keizer ATM was sentenced Monday in Salem to 17 years in prison.

Anthony Sam White of Salem pleaded guilty in Marion County Circuit Court for the March 18 armed robbery.

The Register-Guard reports he was arrested four days later when he was shot during an attempted armored truck robbery in Eugene, Ore.

White was paralyzed from the waist down in the shooting and is awaiting trial in Lane County. He previously served prison time for assault, robbery and burglary charges nine years ago in Portland.
