Letter: Nature can renew our spirit

The Columbian
Published: April 1, 2015, 12:00am

Ah, spring. That time of year when nature springs to life after long months of cold and clouds, rain and hunkered-down anticipation of warm, pleasant days to come. A time when nature reproduces and renews its God-given command to “increase and multiply” (Genesis 1:28). Every species of plant and animal responds to that command and joins the process of procreation. Soon trees are flowering, flowers are in bright bloom, all of nature joins the collective renewal of life. Nothing could be more natural, nothing could be more according to the natural law.

Isn’t it a shame that this marvel of nature fulfilling its purpose is frustrated or denied by so many in our day in age. God willing, there will soon be a “spiritual spring” in the hearts and minds of humanity.
