Letter: By any term, pollution is undeniable

Once again, Thomas Sowell, on April 14, wrote a column, ” ‘Climate change’ debate should be settled by science,” that was long on innuendo and short on facts. His overuse of “quotations” are like a typical bully who needs to mock his victim. His description of the head of the National Academy of Sciences as a government bureaucrat is misleading at best. A simple Google search convinced me of that.

His idea that scientists working for the major energy industry giants won’t be biased is truly ridiculous. Thanks to the Supreme Court, I now know that money talks.

He obviously hates the terms global warming or climate change. That’s OK. In my life, it’s also been called air pollution and smog, and we all knew it had consequences. Call it what you want. I don’t need a consensus on the terms. I just step outside and look at Mt. Hood through a haze to know something needs to be done.
