Published:

ARLINGTON, Ore. — A tractor-trailer spilled about 150 gallons of diesel after crashing on Interstate 84 near Arlington, near the Columbia River.

Oregon State Police Lt. Pat Shortt said none of the fuel reached the river.

Early Saturday, the truck’s driver left his lane and crashed into the center barrier of the highway, Shortt said. The spilled diesel fuel then caught fire.

The driver, Casey Leppert, 23, of Caldwell, Idaho, was not injured.

A hazardous materials crew contained the spill.
