A man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly tried to rape a woman who was walking on the Burnt Bridge Creek trail in Vancouver, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

The incident occurred on the trail just west of Northeast 86th Avenue, where a 26-year-old woman was grabbed by a man she didn’t know, police said. The man tried to pull her off the trail and take her clothing off, but the victim screamed, alerting her boyfriend that she was in danger, police said.

Her boyfriend and another person on the trail detained the alleged attacker, whom police identified as 20-year-old Tremaine S. Rambo. Police arrested Rambo on suspicion of first-degree attempted rape. Detectives are investigating the incident.
