The Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council is looking for public comments on a range of projects being considered for funding through the federal Transportation Alternatives Program.
The program’s reach includes Clark, Skamania and Klickitat counties. Among the Clark County projects submitted are pedestrian improvements along a stretch of Northeast Highway 99, construction of a multi-use path along Main Avenue in Ridgefield and an extension of Vancouver’s Waterfront Renaissance Trail along the Columbia River.
The council will accept comments through May 29. People can view the projects and submit comments online at http://rtc.wa.gov/programs/tap/projects/. Comments can also be submitted in person at a council Board of Directors meeting. The board’s next meeting begins at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, in the sixth-floor training room of the Clark County Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. in Vancouver.
