2 arrested in Clark County in North Portland homicide

3rd suspect arrested in Los Angeles; victim died after Feb. 28 shooting

Two teenagers have been arrested in Clark County in connection with a North Portland homicide.

Portland detectives investigated a Feb. 28 shooting in North Portland where 20-year-old Esteban “Steve” Del Cid sustained life-threatening injuries. He died at a hospital. Detectives learned that the shooting happened near Northeast Rodney Avenue and Cook Street.

Taras Burchak, 18, and Michael Kyree Knox, 19, were arrested Tuesday in Clark County and booked into the Clark County Jail. Burchak waived extradition and was transported to the Multnomah County, Ore., Jail on Thursday. He was arraigned Friday afternoon on allegations of hindering prosecution and unlawful possession of a firearm. Knox is contesting extradition and remains in the Clark County Jail, Portland police said.

Los Angeles police arrested 19-year-old Austin Luepke on Thursday. He was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail on suspicion of murder, menacing and unlawful use of a firearm. He will be extradited to the Multnomah County Jail, Portland police said.

On Tuesday, Timothy Jacob Noe, 20, was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on suspicion of murder.
