Portland Timbers midfielder Will Johnson is expected to play for Timbers 2 on Saturday in a United Soccer League match in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The match against Arizona United will be Johnson’s first game action since he suffered a broken leg in a September Timbers match at Toronto.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. A live webstream will be available at www.Timbers2.com.

T2 (2-2-1, 7 points) is tied for fourth in the USL Western Conference. This is the fourth consecutive road match for Portland. Arizona United (3-1) is tied for second in the West. This is Arizona’s first home game.

Thorns visit Chicago — A pair of unbeaten National Women’s Soccer League teams clash at 5:30 p.m. Saturday when the Portland Thorns (2-0) take on the Chicago Red Stars (1-0) at Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex in Lisle, Ill.

Alex Morgan (knee) will not play for Portland. The status of defenders Kat Williamson (concussion) and Rachel Van Hollebeke (hamstring) will be a game-time decision.

A live webcast of the match is available at www.portlandthornsfc.com.

Allie Long has scored three goals through two games to lead the Thorns attack. Chicago is led by Christen Press, who scored twice to rally the Red Stars to a 3-2 win over Seattle in their only game so far.

In addition to Press, Chicago features current U.S. women’s national team members Shannon Boxx, Lori Chalupny and Julie Johnston, the 2014 NWSL rookie of the year.
