Clark County — The Clark County Newcomers Club recently held a drawing for an afghan, with the $458 raised going to Northwest Battle Buddies, a Battle Ground-based organization that trains service dogs to give to veterans. The afghan was won by Judy Aadland, who opted to donate it to a veteran in the hospital. The afghan was made by Frances Lyons, who has been crocheting them for years to give to veterans.
