Prep roundup: Allen’s RBI lifts Heritage softball past Union

Faith Allen singled home Lori Villa in the top of the seventh to send the Heritage softball team to a 5-4 win over Union on Thursday.

The win tied the Timberwolves in the 4A Greater St. Helens League for third place at 5-3.

Allen went 3 for 4 with a double to lead Heritage, while rallied from a 3-0 deficit to win. Shelby Grover was 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Morgan Spieth paced the Titans by going 3 for 3 with a double, triple and RBI.

• Abby Kadrmas, Mountain View golf, shot a 40 at Lewis River for medalist honors to help her team beat Woodland by 10 shots.

• Irene McGuire, Prairie softball, went 3 for 5 with two RBI in the Falcons’ 14-2 win at Fort Vancouver.

• Leonard Berry, Skyview baseball, was 2 for 4 with a double, triple and three RBI in a 13-5 non-league win over Columbia River.

• Henry Demsky, Seton Catholic soccer, scored three goals in a 7-2 win over Castle Rock.

• Josh Balsiger, Seton Catholic soccer, tallied four assists in the Cougars’ win.
