Letter: Ande has economic vision for port

The Columbian

A number of often-overlooked positions are open, and strong candidates have stepped up to represent us. We all want good jobs, a livable community and a bright future. We want a port that is an economic engine for our region. We need a Port of Vancouver commissioner who can focus on both good jobs and public safety.

Nick Ande is a problem-solver who will be a fine public servant, and will apply his marketing and problem-solving skills to our economic engine. That’s why I’m supporting Ande for commissioner. His vision of a port that is responsive to the community and his commitment to public service are needed as we build our economic future. Choosing the best will matter for a long time to come. Vote; it matters.
