The Clark County Auditor’s Office is urgently seeking people interested in writing a voters’ pamphlet statement for November’s general election.
The office has been unable to find anyone willing to write a statement opposing five charter amendments from the city of Vancouver and a levy lift measure from Fire Protection District No. 6, according to a press release from the auditor’s office.
A committee has written statements in support of the charter amendments and levy lift measure for the pamphlet, which is mailed to all Clark County households. The local voters’ pamphlet is published inside the state voters’ pamphlet, which contains statements and photos of candidates as well as pro and con statements for ballot measures.
Anyone who wants to write an opposing statement is urged to contact Cathie Garber at the Clark County Elections Department at 360-397-2345 as soon as possible, and by 4 p.m. Friday at the latest.
