Registration is open for a boating safety course scheduled at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 22 at the Clark County Wastewater District, 8000 N.E. 52nd Court.
Offered by Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 78 and the Clark County Marine Patrol, the class costs $10 per person.
Topics to be covered include equipment requirements, boating laws and regulations, navigation rules and other safety skills.
The class prepares students to obtain a Washington or Oregon boater safety card.
