The Washington State Patrol said that driver inattention caused an early morning crash Friday on state Highway 503.

Keven Rothe, 20, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup north just before 6 a.m., according to State Patrol.

Near the intersection at Northeast 95th Street, the pickup left its lane and crashed into the back of a 2001 Ford Taurus that was stopped for a flagger, according to the State Patrol.

The driver of the Taurus, David Coleman, 47, of Aloha, Ore., was injured and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. He was treated and released from the hospital. State Patrol said inattention caused the crash. Rothe faces a second-degree negligent driving charge.
