Clark County’s Substance Abuse Advisory Board is hosting a Recovery Forum from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 5 at Gaiser Hall, Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, to mark the National Drug and Alcohol Drug Addiction Month.

This year’s theme is “Join the Voices of Recovery! Visible, Vocal, Valuable!” The event will start with a free barbecue dinner from 4:30 to 6 p.m., followed by the forum from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event is a celebration of the Clark County residents affected by addiction and striving for long-term recovery. Three locals will be sharing their stories.

Chris Attaway, Dallas Wyatt and the Heathman Lodge will be honored in recognition of their generosity and dedication to improving the lives of people in recovery.
