Amazon launches one-hour delivery service in Portland

The Columbian
Published:

Amazon.com launched a one-hour delivery service in some areas of Portland on Wednesday, KATU-TV reported. However, the service will not be available in Vancouver or other parts of Clark County.

Prime Now lets Portlanders order goods from New Seasons, World Foods, Uwajimaya and Cupcake Jones. Amazon says more local grocery stores are on the way, and that the service will be available citywide soon.

The one-hour delivery is $7.99 for subscribers, while two-hour delivery is free. Deliveries run 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

The service is available in 10 other large cities, including Seattle.
