Arriving crews from smoke coming from the eaves and flames beginning to come out of the roof line, Bauska said.

Firefighters attacked the blaze with hoses, bringing the fire under control in about 35 minutes, he said.

Bauska said the structure was likely a total loss, but that the crew did a good job of saving the family’s contents by covering them up while they worked inside to pull ceiling.

No one was injured but Bauska said the family would be displaced by the fire.

The American Red Cross assisted the family, which consisted of two adults, three children and several pets. The organization provided the family with comfort kits, blankets and information about recovery services.
