Vancouver —The board of directors of Integra, the Vancouver-based provider of business telecommunication services, has appointed industry veteran Marc Willency as chief executive officer, effective Sept. 8. Willency will also serve on Integra’s board of directors.

Most recently, Willency served as group vice president for customer solutions at Level 3 Communications, where he managed several functions in the company’s North American region. He previously was senior vice president of customer operations at TW Telecom.

Willency succeeds Integra’s interim president and CEO, Robert E. Guth, who was appointed to the role last September and has been a member of the Integra board of directors since 2009. Guth will remain on the board as vice chairman.

As CEO, Willency will be responsible for leading Integra’s two primary business units, Integra Business and Electric Lightwave.

Integra is headquartered in Vancouver with offices in 11 Western states and 1,500 employees.
