The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce announced the recipients of the organization’s Business & Leadership Awards and will honor them at an event Sept. 10.

Business of the Year (large business): Columbia Credit Union has increased support to 71 community organizations, distributed more than $330,000 in financial contributions, and is the first financial institution branch in Washington to build LEED 2.2 Gold Certification standards.

Business of the Year (small business): Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt law offices was selected for the great number of their staff who are involved in volunteerism and community leadership, and also for their efforts toward legal system accessibility for all residents.

2015 Startup to Watch: In their first four years of business, Trek Global has generated $11 million in revenue and employed or contracted with more than 25 local professionals. Employees are encouraged to give time to the community, and have lent expertise to local businesses and community nonprofit organizations such as Sunset Rotary and the CREDC.

Statesman of the Year: Sen. Annette Cleveland was selected for her work in the areas of transportation, development, child safety, elder justice and equal pay. She serves on the Senate Health Care Committee, the Energy, Environment and Technology Committee, and the Transportation Committee.

Community Champion: Scott Campbell, governmental and community affairs manager of Waste Connections, was selected for his participation in numerous community activities and organizations including the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes, the Parks Foundation of Clark County and the Fort Vancouver National Trust.

The Bonneville Power Administration selected Mike Miller as its vice president of engineering and technical services at the Ross Complex in Vancouver. Miller has worked for the BPA since he was a student in 1992 and has filled roles as an electrical engineer, supervisor, and system control engineering manager.

Cheree Nygard was elected 2015-16 president of the Rotary Club of Greater Clark County, where she has been a member since 2007. She also serves on boards for both the Clark College Foundation and the Vancouver School District Foundation.

Restoring Order, an organizing services company based in Sherwood, Ore., has hired Carol Bausch of Vancouver as its newest consultant who will be based in Southwest Washington. Bausch is a professional organizer with 20 years of business management experience and will work with both home and business clients. www.RestoringOrder.com
