WASHOUGAL — Columbia Precast Products of Washougal has acquired a 23-acre site in Woodland with plans to develop a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility for high-capacity production. The company expects the facility to be fully operational in 2016.
The expansion reflects the growth of a company formed just three years ago. Columbia Precast said it is approaching full capacity at its 4-acre site in Washougal, where it manufactures advanced concrete products used in drainage and underground utility work in the Vancouver area.
Ron Sparks, the company’s founder and general manager, said the company has 30 employees and that number is likely to double when the new facility is completed. Sparks has hired RSV Building Solutions of Vancouver to manage development of the site, which is along Howard Way in northwest Woodland. Once the new facility is completed, the company says it will operate from both the Washougal and Woodland locations.
