ISSAQUAH — Costco has declared a special dividend of $5 per share that will result in approximately $2.2 billion being returned to shareholders. The wholesale club operator said Friday that the special dividend will be paid on Feb. 27 to shareholders of record on Feb. 9.
Costco Wholesale Corp. said that the special dividend will be funded through existing cash and additional borrowings. It is in addition to the Issaquah-based company’s regular quarterly dividend of 35.5 cents per share.
