A Woodland woman was injured and transported to a hospital after the car she was driving spun out and hit a guardrail this afternoon on Interstate 5 just south of Woodland.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Sebastina Gutridge, 33, was driving a blue 2004 Toyota Camry north in the freeway’s right lane at about 1:15 p.m. when a vehicle in the center lane moved quickly to the right to avoid another vehicle moving from the left lane, according to a State Patrol press release.

Gutridge then made an “evasive maneuver” to the right and hit the brakes to avoid the vehicle moving right from the center lane, according to State Patrol. Her car spun out and struck the guardrail.

She was transported to the Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, where she was treated and released.

The crash was caused by improper lane travel, according to State Patrol. No drivers were cited or charged in the incident.
