Radio Shack expects to close its Westfield Vancouver mall store and its store at 6607 E. Mill Plain Blvd., two of its five Radio Shack stores in Clark County, as part of its bankruptcy proceedings, according to a list released by the company last week.

In its bankruptcy protection filing, the electronics company said it would sell 1,500 to 2,400 of its stores to investment firm Standard General, its largest shareholder. Standard General would run the stores as co-branded shops with wireless carrier Sprint Corp.

The company released a list of 1,784 stores at risk of closing under the bankruptcy plan, including the two Vancouver stores and 23 others in Washington state. Radio Shack stores in Vancouver not on the likely closure list are at 11717 N.E. 78th Way, 16420 S.E. Mcgillivray Blvd., and 7219 N.E. Highway 99.
