Highlights of the ongoing exhibits and attractions around town


Architectural Heritage Center,

• “Shadows of Conflict: Clarke County and the Civil War” through Feb. 28. The exhibit explores — through documents, artifacts and images — how the Civil War affected the Western frontier.

• “Food for Thought: Clark County’s Food History” examines the shifting landscape of food and the cultural traditions passed through generations.

• “Anne Frank: A History for Today,” through April 14. The exhibit depicts the life of Anne Frank, who wrote daily in her diary from 1942 to 1944 while hiding with her family, with photos, survivor testimony and documents.

• Circus Zirkus, through May 31. Enter the big tent to perform in silly costumes, spin plates or try out the trapeze, with a three ring stage, concession carts and the backstage.
