Letter: Passage of bonds brightens future

In response to a Feb. 13 story “Washougal, Hockinson bond measures pass,” I am so happy that Proposition 1 and Proposition 5 have passed. I have family members who have children who go to these schools and I know they are big advocates for a new school for their daughters. Good schooling leads to a better and brighter future, and when children don’t have to worry about crumbling walls and intruders, learning can thrive.

I am especially happy to hear that athletic and music facilities will be added, as I am a band student myself. I think that music is really important for learning and I’m excited for these children to have these new opportunities for learning.
