Three Portland-area men held after shooting in downtown Vancouver

No injuries reported in early morning incident

Three Portland men were arrested after a shooting early Saturday morning in downtown Vancouver, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

A VPD bulletin said the shooting was reported about 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Eighth and Main streets.

Officers investigating the report stopped a car with three men inside and took them into custody on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm.

The VPD identified those arrested as Shalon D. Freeman, 22, of Portland; Adrian L. Marshall, 22, of Portland; and Howard D. Washington, 21, of Portland. All three were booked into Clark County Jail.

No injuries or property damage were reported.

A VPD bulletin said the case was still under investigation and asked anyone with information regarding the incident to contact police.
