Letter: Mielke’s idea was full of respect

The Columbian
Published: February 23, 2015, 12:00am

Can’t The Columbian provide us with better reading than the prattle and ranting of an editor who is basically stuck in a rut on what or whom to write about? A government official wanted to display words that are rather common in government and Editor Lou Brancaccio goes into a feeding frenzy of what a terrible, offensive idea it is. Time and time again he goes into the same tiring, boring and dull ravings of a child.

Well, what the government wanted to do was respectful and it didn’t or doesn’t bother me one bit, but Mr. Louie with his big mouth does and so goes my respect for your so-called news.

For what it is worth, I am against “under God” in government.
