Firefighters battled the flames that ignited inside a single-story home Tuesday night at Acres Mobile Estates in east Vancouver.

The fire was reported minutes after 9 p.m. When firefighters arrived to the mobile home complex, at 13401 N.E. 28th St., they saw smoke and flames coming from the home’s roof, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

All of the home’s occupants were outside by the time emergency crews arrived.

Firefighters entered the home through the front door and found more smoke and fire inside. They had the fire under control by about 9:15 p.m. They then proceeded to tear down parts of the ceiling to determine whether the fire had extended to other areas in the home, according to radio traffic.

More information about the fire was not available Tuesday night. A fire investigator was called to the scene to assess damage and determine what caused the fire.
