NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFICATION

Four Battle Ground Public Schools teachers — Linda Bailey of Tukes Valley Primary, Tamra Pfeifle Davisson of Amboy Middle School, Katie Paulson of Pleasant Valley Primary, and Lorri Sibley of Daybreak Primary — have recently earned National Board Certification.

National Board Certification encourages and helps teachers to improve their skills and honors those who achieve it. Earning certification, which takes about three years to complete, inspires teachers to reflect on their teaching methods and encourages them to find new ways to engage students.

CAREER GUIDANCE AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

Five Evergreen Public Schools high schools were among 46 schools statewide recognized for their highly effective guidance and counseling programs. The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction presented the Career Guidance Award of Excellence to Evergreen High School, Heritage High School, Legacy High School, Mountain View High School and Union High School.
