With help from the public, Battle Ground police identified three suspects allegedly involved in a theft and assault at Wal-Mart.

Four people, a male and three females, were captured on security cameras at the store, 1201 S.W. 13th Ave., on Feb. 20. The male assaulted an employee at the store while stealing merchandise; he had female accomplices, the Battle Ground Police Department said.

The public sent in tips about the alleged perpetrators, and allowed the agency to forward charges to the Clark County Juvenile Court.

A 17-year-old Battle Ground boy faces accusations of second-degree robbery and being a minor in possession of alcohol. A 16-year-old girl from Vancouver faces allegation of third-degree theft and possession of alcohol.

Police say they’ve identified a third suspect, but haven’t filed charges yet.

The Battle Ground Police Department encourages people to contact police if they witness or suspect criminal activity.
