GIG HARBOR — Gig Harbor’s good vibrations make it an ideal location for spirit healers, those who have been contacted and psychics to gather — and that’s exactly what will happen at the first-ever Galactic Wisdom Conference.

Ted Mahr, host of the “Out of This World” radio program in Seattle, is organizing the event that will bring in speakers with a special emphasis on healing.

The conference will be held March 6 to 8 at the Inn at Gig Harbor. Registration for the event is $197 for the entire weekend if registered by March 1, or $97 per day. To register, visit galacticwisdomconference.com.

There are special rates for low-income attendees and students. Registration after the March 1 deadline is $247.

Among the guests is Michiko Hayashi, director of the Emoto Peace Project. Hayashi is flying in from Tokyo as a representative of the organization founded by Dr. Masuro Emoto. The conference is dedicated in Emoto’s memory; he died last year.

“He was one of the most spiritual people in the world,” Mahr said.

Mahr began to develop his psychic gift 21 years ago, with the help of his foster mother, he said. Since then he’s grown his gift and gives what he calls “life reviews.”

The main objective of the conference is not simply to learn about contact with other realms, but to improve the current dimension. Mahr is committed to the power of thought influencing the world. The conference will emphasize healing and spiritual inspiration.

“The purpose is … to raise consciousness and make the planet a better place,” Mahr said.
