Online mortgage lender expands into Washington

The Columbian
Published:

Privlo, a California-based online mortgage lender that aims its services at small business owners, entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals, has expanded its offerings to Washington.

The company offers non qualified mortgages to homebuyers who don’t fit the standards established by Dodd-Frank legislation for the lowest-risk home loans. It says it is appealing to people with careers in technology and other technical fields, or who are employed as seasonal or contract workers, that don’t easily fit into the industry’s standards for receiving a qualified mortgage.

Privlo is already active in eight states and the company says it aims to expand to 21 states, representing 90 percent of the housing market, by the end of this year. Visit www.privlo.com.
