The second CrossFit Fort Vancouver Invitational will take place on Saturday and Sunday at the Clark County Events Center.

The invitational will feature men’s two-person teams and women’s two-person teams competing in six challenges over the two days. Though not a CrossFit, Inc.-sanctioned competition, the participants were invited based on success in official CrossFit Games regional competitions, according to event organizer Nathan Loren.

The competition runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and resumes with a swim event at 8 a.m. Sunday at the Clark County Family YMCA before returning to the Event Center for the final two events of the competition. The swim event is free to the first 150 spectators.

Tickets cost $33 for a two-day pass purchased in advance through the event’s website — http://crossfitfortvancouver.com/invitational — or $20 per day at the door.

Cole Sager and Austin Stack, who won the CrossFit Fort Vancouver Invitational in 2014, are scheduled to again team up. In the women’s division, Rory Zambard from Seattle is back with a different partner after winning the first CrossFit Fort Vancouver Invitational with Jenn Jones from Houston. This year her partner is 2014 Northwest regional CrossFit champion Emily Carothers from the Seattle area.

Local participants include Jessica Core of Vancouver, who was part of the second-place team last January. In the men’s field, CrossFit Fort Vancouver founder Adam Neiffer will team with Ryan Smith from Montana, while Bryan Weed and Allan Dunlap of Vancouver will compete together.
