Oregon pursuit ends with felony traffic stop in Vancouver

Washington State Patrol assisted Oregon authorities in stopping a vehicle involved in a pursuit.

A blue Honda that Oregon police had been pursuing crossed north into Vancouver over Interstate 205’s Glenn Jackson Bridge at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to Washington State Trooper Will Finn.

Oregon police used a spike strip before the vehicle crossed the bridge, flattening its tires, Finn said.

The vehicle, which eventually lost a tire, then tried to turn through the highway’s median just north of 18th Street, but it became stuck in the mud, Finn said. Authorities made a felony traffic stop and discovered stolen license plates inside the vehicle, Finn said.

The driver, Tyler Pribbernow, 33, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, reckless endangerment and eluding police. He was booked into the Clark County Jail.

Information about why police were pursuing the vehicle in Oregon was not available Tuesday.
